Paddleboard Hire Glencoe: The Premium SUP Experience

Glide silently over the crystal-clear waters of Loch Leven. From the vantage point of a paddleboard, you have the best chance of spotting our local seals, exploring the hidden burial islands, and taking in the sheer scale of the Glencoe mountains.

Based at the Isles of Glencoe Hotel, we provide premium inflatable paddleboards for those looking for a tranquil, immersive way to explore the West Highlands.

Experience & Safety

Stand-up paddleboarding is a rewarding but technical activity. For your safety on the loch:

• Independent Hire: Available for those with previous paddleboarding experience.

• New to the water? If you are a total beginner or don’t yet feel confident on a board, we recommend our Sit-on-top Kayaks. They are incredibly stable and allow you to reach the same islands and seal colonies with zero experience required.

• Private Coaching: Alternatively, book a Private Discovery Tour to learn the ropes with a professional instructor.

We don’t do “hidden extras.” Every SUP hire includes our Premium Adventure Bundle as standard—everything you need for a safe, warm, and tech-friendly session.

Essential Info

• Ability: You must be a confident swimmer (25m) and have previous SUP experience for independent hire.

• Weather: Paddleboards are sensitive to wind. If conditions change, we may offer a move to kayaks or a full refund for safety.

• Dog Policy: To protect our inflatable boards, dogs are not permitted on SUPs. They are, however, very welcome on our kayaks.

Island & Wildlife Discovery

Our sheltered launch point gives you immediate access to the best spots on the loch:

• Eilean Munde: Paddle to the burial islands the historic burial place of the MacDonalds of Glencoe.

• The Seal Colony: We often see common seals on rocks around the islands. A SUP offers the most unobtrusive way to watch them from a respectful distance.

• The Backdrop: Enjoy unrivaled views of the Pap of Glencoe and Sgòrr nam Fiannaidh  as you navigate the calm waters.
